With attractive people at virtually every turn, people-watching in Chicago is nothing if not easy on the eyes. Unsurprisingly, Chicago’s food scene also lays claim to some really, really ridiculously good-looking individuals, including these six men who make being a chef look downright hot.
How do you feel about being called one of Chicago’s hottest chefs? Flattered, thank you! It's always great to be recognized for the hard work we do each day, but to look good while doing it, hey, why not?
Describe your personal style. I'm guilty of wearing just about the same thing to/at work every day out of routine. A white V-neck, jeans, and maybe a hoodie (if it’s cold out). Outside of the kitchen I like to keep it pretty classic and casual.
Where do you like to hang out? My team likes to head to The Green Door Tavern after a long shift, so you can find me there from time to time. I’m also still pretty new to Chicago (recently relocated from NYC), so I like to spend any free time checking out Chicago’s incredible culinary scene.
How do you feel about being called one of Chicago’s hottest chefs? I can't help but feel like this was a long time coming!
Describe your personal style. My style varies depending on the occasion. For a night out with my wife I like to dress up, but for days that I’m running around the city, I like to keep it comfortable and casual in a t-shirt, hoodie, and jeans.
Where do you like to hang out? When I'm not at Frontier (which is a lot), I try to spend all of my free time with my daughter. She’s two and always on the go, so she keeps me busy! I also love going to Dancen for their fire chicken and rice balls.
How do you feel about being called one of Chicago’s hottest chefs? It feels great! I feel like I’ve been one of Chicago’s hottest chefs since 2008....
Describe your personal style. Fresh like new sock day! I go for comfort, but I try to look good while doing it.
Where do you like to hang out? At home with my wife, daughter, and our friends. We like to invite everyone over to grill—who doesn’t love a good ol’ fashioned cookout!
How do you feel about being called one of Chicago’s hottest chefs? See Mom, I told you the tattoos would pay off!
Describe your personal style. I’m always very casual and I never put too much thought into it. My uniform tends to be a t-shirt and button-up with dark jeans and skate shoes.
Where do you like to hang out? After work or on my days off you can find me at Rossi’s for a cheap beer, or Sparrow for a killer cocktail.
How do you feel about being called one of Chicago’s hottest chefs? It's a humbling thought. Of course being Irish and having that Gaelic accent definitely helps.
Describe your personal style. I do like to wear suits as often as I can, but more often than not I'm very casual wearing jeans, polos, and zipper sweaters. It helps to have multiple fashion experts at home—like my wife and kids—who keep me up on the fashion trends!
Where do you like to hang out? I love local breweries and dive bars, especially on a Monday evening when it’s a little less crowded than the weekends. I also love old-school Chicago spots with live blues music and great food.
How do you feel about being called one of Chicago’s hottest chefs? I am both humbled and honored to be a part of this list with my peers. I just hope I can live up to the hype!
Describe your personal style. As far as personal style goes I always keep it pretty casual. You'll find me wearing a flannel, Levis, and a fresh new pair of Vans.
Where do you like to hang out? Usually I'm running around with my buds checking out new spots all over town. But, my neighborhood watering hole is definitely the J&M Tap.
