1 - Simply Stylist Makes its Chicago Debut
E! News host Catt Sadler comes to town for the inaugural Chicago Simply Stylist event this weekend.

On Saturday, June 8 (10 am-5 pm), Los Angeles-based Simply Stylist brings its annual fashion and beauty seminar to Chicago for the first time. Founder Sarah Boyd teams celebrity stylists and makeup artists with local experts in the industry for the ultimate female-focused event.

Hosted by E! News host Catt Sadler, the day begins with a VIP networking brunch at the dana hotel & spa. A fashion and beauty panel discussion—and VIP meet and greet with panelists—follows. This year, the panelists include fashion blogger Jacey Duprie; stylist Trish Townsend, who dresses Carrie Underwood; and makeup artist Tia Dantzler, who works with Jennifer Hudson. Local experts eDrop-Off’s Corri McFadden and Glossed & Found’s founder Stacey Roney, fill the panel out.

Rad + Refined’s Jacqueline Rezak will style VIP guests; while Cheeky Chicago’s Jessica Zweig and Chicago Blogger Network’s Kelly Ryan O’Brien will also bring their expertise. Blowtique will offer on-site hair styling, and a designer shopping event closes the day. Featured brands for the shopping portion include Chicago-based Henry & Belle denim, as well as California labels like MinkPink, Wildfox, Bella Colleta Jewelry, Olivia + Joy, and more.

“I chose Chicago as the third city to bring Simply Stylist to, after Los Angeles and New York, because there is a definite eye for fashion here,” Boyd says. “The beauty of our event is [connecting] top out-of-towners like Catt Sadler with some of Chicago’s biggest style and beauty experts.” Plus, it’s all for a good cause: a portion of the event’s proceeds benefit I Am That Girl, a community network to inspire and strengthen young women. For tickets to the event ($20-$200) visit simplystylist.com/tickets. dana hotel & spa, 660 N. State St.
