The amazing city view from The J. Parker, where Equinox instructors are leading rooftop yoga sessions this month.
Rooftop Yoga at Hotel Lincoln
Wednesdays in June, 7-8 am
Equinox partners with the Hotel Lincoln for a morning yoga session at the hotel’s rooftop. Start your day off right on the zen patio as you take in unparalleled views of the city and lake. The best part: if rain threatens to cancel the outdoor session, yogis can relocate to Equinox, just two doors down. Call Equinox Lincoln Park at 312-254-4000 to reserve ($5 Equinox members; $20 nonmembers). 1816 N. Clark St.
Spinning at Cloud Gate
Monday, June 10-Wednesday, June 12, 6:30 or 7:30 am; Thursday, June 13, 5:30 pm
In honor of Bike to Work Week, Life Time Fitness is setting up 100 spinning bikes at Cloud Gate in Millennium Park for this week only. Bask in the early morning sunshine as you sweat, and enjoy one of the best views of the city: the skewed reflection of buildings and clouds in the famous Bean. Admission is free, bikes are first-come, first-served. 201 E. Randolph St. between Michigan and Columbus Aves.
City Running Tours
When even the gorgeous lake path becomes boring, sign up for a themed personal or group running tour that takes you past the city’s famous sites and structures. The City in a Garden run routes through Chicago’s parks, while the Devil in the White City passes sites mentioned in the book it’s named after. City Running Tours are in nine other cities, too, making them a perfect way to experience other places this summer. Social runs start at $25; personal runs start at $75.
