Sharing a moment with gorgeous three-time cover star Giuliana Rancic at our fabulous fête in her honor at the Godfrey Hotel.
The transition from spring to summer is one of my favorite times of year. The roof at Soho House gets busier, while outdoor favorites like LondonHouse and Chicago Cut work their way into my social calendar. In short, everything bursts with infectious energy, and we adopt that same momentum at Michigan Avenue. Case in point: On April 26, we’ll toast the celebrated subjects of this, our Power Players Issue, with a blowout bash at the stunning Park Hyatt. From authors and interior designers to entrepreneurs and fitness phenoms, this year’s portfolio of influential females carries on the tradition established by boldface names like Justine Fedak of BMO Harris Bank, Eve Rogers of Graff Diamonds, and other local luminaries whom we’ve showcased in the past.

I can’t think of a better place to bring different facets of the community together than in one of the city’s premier sophisticated spaces. Another reason to love spring? Men’s fashion can get a bit quirkier—think a patterned, lightweight blazer from Burdi paired with trousers that pack some pop from Oxxford Clothes. I’ll be culling some clothing cues on April 28, when we’ll sponsor the 16th annual Driehaus Awards for Fashion Excellence supporting student designers. Michigan Avenue endeavors to be a steward of the arts and admires the Driehaus Design Initiative’s similar mission.
