When Katy Perry released Witness—the singer’s fifth studio album—in June, hits such as “Chained to the Rhythm”, “Bon Appetit”, and “Swish Swish” were already the anthems of the summer and topping charts across the globe. Now, fans have the chance to hear their favorite songs live as the singer continues her tour in the U.S. with a stop at the United Center in Chicago on October 4th.
Attendees can expect to hear new hits as well as old favorites such as “Teenage Dream”, “Hot N Cold”, and “California Gurls”, with performances accompanied by extravagant costumes and whimsical sets. But perhaps the most unique aspect of Katy Perry’s new tour is the camera crew embedded with her to capture behind-the-scenes content for her new channel with a Xfinity X1, which aims to give fans a closer look at the singer's life on tour. The channel’s content will include in-depth interviews about her latest album, a catalogue of the singer’s hit songs, and episodes of “The Making Of” for music videos such as “Firework” and “Swish Swish”.
“I’m excited to team up with Xfinity to share the whole Witness experience with my fans. It means a lot to me for all of my fans, no matter what their situation, to feel like they can come along for the ride,” said Katy Perry. “I love that Xfinity X1 will be a place where I can give fans weekly glimpses into all the different facets of the tour - not just the work of it, but also the fun! It’s a real peek behind the curtain, and up close and personal access to me throughout the tour.”
