The brainchild of haute couture designer Nathalie Schönenberger and industry veteran and model Terry-Ann Frencken, Frenckenberger may be brand-new, but the label’s elevated cashmere basics have already found an enthusiastic fan in Chicago style queen Ikram Goldman.
“I’m feeling a beautiful, cozy sweater moment,” Goldman says, “and I love this collection. Beautiful tank tops, beautiful dusters, pants, jumpsuits—it’s really easy cashmere that’s breathtaking and supersoft.”
Just as important, notes Goldman, is the versatility of the pieces. “This is really an all-year-long collection, because the cashmeres are light enough that you can wear them into spring. They all go together, so you can layer them—a tank top over a long-sleeve sweater, and then a vest over that. The pieces interact with each other.” Ultimately, she says, it’s all about simple beauty and comfort, especially in the cool temps of the Windy City. Sums up Goldman, “With the luxurious feel of these cashmeres on your body, it’s just the coziest thing. From day into night, these are the pieces you want to put on and never take off.” Prices upon request, available at Ikram, 15 E. Huron St., 312.587.1000
