When it comes to being on trend for autumn, says Chicago fashion guru Ikram Goldman, Peter Pilotto's print-inspired beadwork dress is the ultimate in stylish versatility.

Freshening your wardrobe for fall opens up a world of possibilities—new trends, new collections, new colors—and there’s no greater thrill than finding the perfect statement piece for the season. For River North boutique owner Ikram Goldman, it’s the intricate beaded dresses from British fashion designer Peter Pilotto.
“Peter Pilotto has always been known for these exquisite prints,” explains Goldman, “and somehow they’ve been able to capture the print in a beadwork expression on this dress, which in itself is a very vintage-looking, naughty-but-nice piece. It can take you a million different places: black-tie, cocktail… you can even wear it to a luncheon with a combat boot and a little sweater. It’s a neutral color that will go with everything; the black against the neck—it’s a very couture kind of neck—offsets the jade green and gives a much calmer tone to the face. It’s all beaded and hand-woven, and the production, out of London, is just beautiful. I love this dress.”
