On February 17, 2019, chef Bill Kim welcomed scores of foodies to 1400 W. Randolph St. for the latest installment of his “Ramenfest” culinary competition. A roster of Chicago hotspots—including Daisies, Oriole and Duck Inn—plated their best interpretations of the dish, with Momotaro receiving the “People’s Choice” vote and Monteverde nabbing “Judge’s Choice” honors. During the party, soundtracked by DJ Won Kim, attendees sipped Suntory Toki highballs and other libations on the way to garnering $4,000 for the afternoon’s beneficiary, Inspiration Kitchens.
