Sola’s Handcrafted Ice Cream
Chef Carol Wallack offers handmade ice creams and sorbets in both traditional flavors and those inspired by her Hawaiian roots. Flavors of note include vanilla wasabi, cherry goat cheese, and pineapple lemongrass, and the white coffee with white chocolate chunks ice cream made with Hawaiian-grown Kona coffee. PUBLIC Hotel Ice Trike
For the second summer, Ian Schrager’s PUBLIC Hotel wheels out its sno cone-laden Ice Trike. The bike peddles up and down the lakefront every Sunday through Labor Day, offering complimentary sno cones in exotic flavors such as passion chili, cherry yuzu, ginger margarita, and raspberry lychee bellini. Hotel Lincoln’s Ice Cream Social
On Saturday, July 13, Hotel Lincoln hosts an open-to-the-public ice cream social right outside its doors. The whole family can enjoy the festivities, which include live music, face painting and sidewalk art contests for the kids, and more. Of course the most important element is the ice cream.
