Three Local Apps to Download

Trunk Club
The Trunk Club app, launched just last month, has all the same clothes and brands you love about the in-person service. Unlike other online retailers, though, Trunk Club still retains its personal element, connecting users with their own stylists who dish out one-on-one advice for how to wear the clothes. We recommend the app for specific occasions—an outfit for a meeting delivered to your office, or date-night duds to your staycation destination. Free on iTunes.

GoLakeview
Whether Lakeview is the neighborhood you call home, or one yet to be discovered, this just-launched app connects users with interesting businesses, services, events, and more in the area. Developed by the Lakeview and Lakeview East Chambers of Commerce, it features various “Explorer Packs” to introduce users to spots and activities of interest, such as dog-friendly restaurants, craft beer excursions, or art tours. The app also features GPS directions, parking information, event calendars, and daily specials. Free on iTunes.

Own The Night
Using a renowned financial aggregation platform, Own the Night determines users who typically spend a certain amount of money at bars and nightclubs, and grants them VIP membership status. Once they are members, users gain access to what has been dubbed “the black card for nightlife,” which entitles them to no-line entry to the hottest clubs, premium deals on tables and bottle service, and, for the highest VIP tier members, a concierge service. In its first few months, Own the Night has already secured partnerships with spots like Sound-Bar, Bevy, and American Junkie. Free on iTunes.
