Untitled's outdoor space mimics the interior's speakeasy vibe.
Tucked away on Carroll Street and only visible from above, Untitled’s new 50-seat outdoor patio is a natural extension of its whiskey-filled speakeasy vibe inside, right down to the smell drifting out of three-dozen barrels of aged bourbon. Sunday brunch (11:30 am-3 pm) is the perfect time to enjoy this secluded escape.
Outside or inside, though, the morning menu of gourmet takes on a.m. classics will please every appetite. Those seeking something savory should order the pork belly scrapple benedict with red wine poached egg, hollandaise, and pickled banana peppers, or the short ribs and hash with over-easy eggs, horseradish sauce, and arugula. Meanwhile, the blueberry and chestnut silver dollars will satisfy a hankering for sweets and also stay true to speakeasy form with bourbon butter. The resto pays homage to its main spirit again in the little gem and bibb salad, which features bourbon almonds and a mimosa vinaigrette.
Speaking of drinks, Untitled’s libations list far exceeds its food offerings, boasting seasonal and signature cocktails and the largest selection of American whiskeys in the world. The Bootlegger’s Breakfast—an aptly named cocktail that features Old Forester bourbon, orange marmalade, Aperol, and Peychaud’s bitters—is a must for brunch.
Reservations are not accepted for the patio. 111 W. Kinzie St., 312-880-1511
