1 - Beer, Blue Jeans, and Ballet Slippers at Cityblue

This week at Cityblue, patrons can shop for a cause while enjoying beer and light bites.

On Wednesday (6-8 PM), join Cheeky Chicago’s Jessica Zweig and Erica Bethe Levin at Old Town boutique Cityblue for an event benefiting the Joffrey Ballet Auxiliary Board. The evening pays homage to three very important B’s: Beer (Peroni will provide the beverages), Blue Jeans, and Ballet Slippers. Expanding on the alliteration, neighboring restaurant Benchmark will provide hors d’oeuvres.

For the “blue jeans” aspect, guests can look forward to shopping Cityblue’s freshest fall apparel—bright blue jeans by Theory and Hudson Denim are complemented by the likes of accessories from Cut 25 and Joie tops. Also of note are the boutique’s new Theyskens’ Theory pieces and freshly stocked men’s denim from Citizens of Humanity and DL1961. Ten-percent of all proceeds go to the Joffrey Auxiliary Board, and Cheeky Card holders can enjoy exclusive pricing.

The style-setting host committee includes Samantha Saifer, Lynne Bredfeldt, Emma Arnold, Jessi Sheehan, and Megan Taylor. Reserve your spot (and swag bag) by e-mailing 1444 N. Wells St., Old Town, 312-664-2222
