This past Saturday, 100 restaurants and food vendors across the greater Chicago area brought their best, cheesiest, and most inventive macaroni and cheese creations to the city’s third annual Mac & Cheese Fest. The event took place at the UIC Forum and drew nearly 4,000 attendees (over a lunch and dinner session) who voted for their favorite take on the comfort food classic. Vendors vied for the coveted Golden Noodle trophy, but ultimately, Rosebud’s Mac ‘n’ Cheese Arancini and Amazing Edibles Gourmet Catering’s Autumn Asiago Mac won the lunch and dinner votes, respectively.
