Last week, Hennessy unveiled its statement-making interactive campaign, The Chase, at Chicago’s Nellcôte. The Chase is part of the brand’s larger Wild Rabbit initiative, which is inspired by the elusive wild rabbits that represent success in the area of France where the cognac originates. Images of famous “wild rabbits”—like Martin Scorsese, Erykah Badu, and Manny Pacquiao—who gained success from always chasing the next big thing appeared in larger-than-life projections on Nellcôte’s façade.

Inside, guests got a chance to sing a virtual duet with Badu and enter a fantasy boxing match with Pacquiao, while Hennessy national mixologist Jordan Bushell stirred up cocktails inspired by the envelope-pushing personalities. Go a little wild and try making them yourself at home.

The Filmmaker—inspired by Martin Scorsese

1 1/2 ounces Hennessy VS
1/2 ounce Campari
1/2 ounce Amaro Nonino
2 dashes of Regan’s No.6 orange bitters (or Angostura bitters)
1 twist orange for garnish

Stir all ingredients in mixing tin with ice until well chilled, and strain over large ice cube into a rocks glass. Garnish with a twist of orange.

The Music Icon—inspired by Erykah Badu

1 1/2 ounces Hennessy VS
1/2 ounce each fresh lime and lemon juice
3/4 ounce of simple syrup
1/4 ounce of crème de mure or crème de cassis
1 egg white (optional)
1 basil leaf for garnish

Shake all ingredients in a shaker tin without ice to activate egg white, then add ice and shake to chill. Fine strain into a cocktail Coupe glass and garnish with a basil leaf. (Slapping the leaf before garnishing will accentuate the basil scents.)

The Sports Legend—inspired by Manny Pacquiao

1 1/2 ounces Hennessy VS
1/4 ounce Ardbeg 10-year single malt scotch
1/2 ounce fresh lime juice
1/4 ounce agave nectar (or simple syrup)
2 dashes of Angostura bitters
3 fresh pineapple cubes (1-inch by 1-inch cubes)

Muddle the cubes of pineapple in a shaker tin, then add all liquid and shake with ice until well chilled. Fine strain over ice into a rocks glass. Garnish with two pineapple leaves.
