Hallie Borden brings a brand-new shopping experience to Andersonville with Milk Handmade. Set to open its doors tomorrow, the retail store combines basics with one-of-a-kind pieces, all handmade by independent or local designers. Chicago brands of note include Lavender in Brown, Mohop Shoes, Glam Rocks, Bees’netta, and more. In a clever nod to the boutique’s name, milk and cookies will be served all day tomorrow. 5137 N. Neiman Marcus “Art of Fashion”

This Thursday, Neiman Marcus Northbrook celebrates the Art of Fashion with a breakfast at its famous Zodiac restaurant followed by a fashion show upstairs. All proceeds go to the Wood Family Foundation, which raises funds and awareness for children’s charities. Sarah Wood, wife of Chicago Cubs pitcher Kerry, plays host, and Lana Bramlette, whose jewelry has been spotted on major celebrities like Cameron Diaz and Eva Longoria, will also be in attendance.
