RA Sushi's tootsy maki roll.
Gold Coast favorite RA Sushi extends its happy hour today for Tax Day Tuesday, offering respite in the form of the restaurant’s best sushi rolls, tapas, appetizers, and drinks.
Whether you’re celebrating or complaining about your returns this year, the array of over 35 sushi rolls and cocktails is fairly priced and sure to please. Tootsy maki, a popular RA roll, includes sweet eel sauce and crunchy tempura crab atop a shrimp and cucumber roll. Adventurous eaters will want to try the viva Las Vegas roll, a tempura-battered crab and cream cheese roll topped with spicy tuna, more crab, sliced lotus root, eel sauce, and spinach tempura. If smaller, after-work plates are more your speed, go for the pork gyoza or grilled short ribs.
Hot sake is perfect to wash it all down (and only $2 at happy hour). Or, try any of RA’s signature specialty cocktails, like the miyagi margarita made with tequila, house-made yuzu sour, fresh lime juice, and Triple Sec, and cheers to a new tax season. 1139 N. State St., 312-274-0011
