Chicago's Best Burger: Fulton’s on the River

More than just the first day of May, today also marks the start of a delicious month-long celebration of one of the most American foods—burgers. While there are dozens of delicious burger options throughout the city, Fulton’s on the River’s Localvore Prime Bacon Cheeseburger is our pick for National Burger Month.
A lunch-menu-only item, The Localvore burger is well worth taking a long midday meal, or savoring on a Saturday shopping-trip refuel. The juicy burger is cooked to perfection, then piled high with applewood smoked bacon, Wisconsin white cheddar cheese, crispy onions, and a Boursin aioli sauce. It’s all housed between a perfect pretzel bun and served with freshly cut fries or slaw (though we recommend the fries).
If you’re not in the mood for a beef-laden lunch, there’s no shortage of alternatives. Parmesan-crusted tilapia, Pembrokeshire fish and chips, and skirt steak frites are some of the other standouts at this seafood and steak house. Whatever you choose, wash it all down with an “old world” or “new world” wine, or a signature cocktail. Sip the Chicago-born French 315—a mix of St. Germain, Grand Marnier, lavender syrup, and Champagne—to best complement your Localvore burger. 315 N. LaSalle St., 312-822-0100
