2Sparrows executive chef Gregory Ellis prepares a four-course menu of seasonal dishes to match summery Italian wines from Tenuta Santome in Treviso, Italy, as part of the restaurant's monthly beverage dinner series. Highlights from tonight’s menu include a bruschetta starter with olives, sun-dried tomatoes, arugula, and caper vinaigrette, paired with a Prosecco; house-made spicy Italian sausage over linguine, complemented by a cabernet; and lemoncello tiramisu, alongside another Prosecco ($60). Oak Street Summer Block Party

The Oak Street Council hosts its first-ever summer block party on the famous street. Bustling sidewalks are set to feature a chalk muralist and plein air artists, live music, palm and tarot card readers, and a balloon artist. Food trucks, such as The Empanada Truck, Starfruit, and the Mac N Cheese Truck, will provide snacks. It’s PRIDE Weekend in Chicago, and England Rugby World Cup champion Ben Cohen boosts the celebrations with a brunch to benefit The Ben Cohen StandUp Foundation. This organization funds those working to end bullying, particularly those focused on the LGBT community.
